Moreover, the possibility of winning can be a great source of self-esteem and it can provide a fun way to pass time. In addition, the fact that lottery prizes are typically high, especially when a jackpot is reached, can attract many participants. Finally, lottery games are marketed heavily through the media, with images of previous winners and their newfound wealth, which can appeal to aspirations and naivet\u00e9.
