\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Regardless of what type of poker you play, it’s essential to understand the basics of the game. The purpose of the game is to create the best possible hand, using five cards. The best hand wins the pot.<\/p>\n

A pot is an aggregate of all the bets made by all players during a single deal. A winning hand is the one with the highest value. If two or more hands have the same value, the hand with the second highest card wins. If a tie occurs, the unmatched fifth card is used to decide the winner.<\/p>\n

The earliest known form of poker was played with 20 cards. The modern game uses a standard deck of 52 cards.<\/p>\n

Cards are dealt face-up to the players. The dealer has the last right to shuffle. If a player folds, he or she loses their bet.<\/p>\n

If a player does not fold, they will use one of their cards to make a hand. A hand with the ace, deuce, king, and five cards of the same suit, called a flush, is the best hand.<\/p>\n

The game continues until more than one player remains. The remaining player will reveal his or her hand, and the other players will assess the hand. If the player’s hand is weak, he or she may be forced to fold.<\/p>\n

A forced bet is a bet that is placed on the table before a player’s hand is revealed. This bet is sometimes called an ante, or blind bet. If the opponent calls, the player raises his or her bet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
